The Lake of Der
The largest artificial lake in Europe, the Lake of Der is the ideal place for those who wish to combine sport and nature in a green environment. In all seasons, you can practice many leisure activities from sailing to walking and each autumn, the crossing of 70 000 cranes is a unique show.

The Argonne forest
On the borders of Champagne lands, the Argonne Country opens out on a large forest offering to walkers trekking routes on foot or by bike.
At the start of the MIddle-Ages, monks enhanced the forest: abbeys of Beaulieu, Moiremont, Châtrices and La Chalade were born. Wood, abundant, was used as a fuel for glassworks and chinaworks, whose most famous productions are plates called Islettes, (XVIIIe century) highly appreciated by collectors.

Châlons jards
In the heart of the city, 3 gardens follow one another with different aspects :
- the small Jard, with an arboretum created in 1938, with remarkable flowers on each bank of the Nau, where you can see quiet swans and ducks, also look at the 4 season statutes.
- the great Jard links the small Jard and the English Jard. It stretches along the channel and you can join the English Jard via a footbridge
- The English Jard: large green wilder space with a basin and reeds, located between the channel and the Marne river.
