Schiller and Goethe Museum Personal objects, furniture, china belonging to Schiller and his family, donated to France in 1952 by the Baroness Sophie von GleichenRusswurm. Tribute paid to Goethe, a great German writer at the time of Enlightenment who was a friend of Schiller, and who was present at the Valmy battle.
Sainte-Ménehould city Museum Many problems have occurred for a few years: lack of room, preservation problem, opening to the public not long enough, increasing collections in the library, old premises...
Its poor state is such a problem that we were obliged to close the city Museum to the public in 2004 for safety reasons (after an expertise report).
The town hall wish to renovate the whole building to turn it into a cultural building "Médialibrary-Museum", largely open to the public, offering the best welcome and work conditions, much more functional and using the new technologies.
