The company Cotuplas, linked to the beauty sector of the Canadian group Alcan has been located in Sainte-Ménehould for 48 years. Its trades are the design, manufacture and installation of production lines of laminated or plastic tubes and lines for the decoration of luxury packages. Products designed for the markets of makeup, pharmacy, hygiene and agribusiness in the whole world. The site, counting 97 employees, has a branch in China, the USA and Mexico. Its turnover amounted to 13 M€ in 2005, including 75% in France and Europe. The company has lately committed large investments in ultra performing process. They have installed in the Marne site a R & D Department Process World covering all the trades of Alcan beauty.

Ineos Compounds France
In August 2004 the company Dub plastics in Mourmelon-le-Petit (created in 1979) was taken over by the English group Ineos, becoming Ineos Compounds France SAS. This takeover has allowed to continue the production activity of PVC compound (mixture of polymers) in Central Champagne. Ineos products are designed for the making of bottles of mineral water with an empty body (50 000 t per year) for various industries : building, shoes, cables, packing, garden centre, leisures, toys... Since the takeover from Ineos-Group, important works have been undertaken for safety, hygiene and environment. The production tool is being updated. They will become soom « non toxic », thereby meeting quality requirements, in the medical field for example. The company growth requires the hiring of ten people .

Ineos bring their rigor , their method , their fame and of course, their financing without which the Marne company would not have survived. »

Avient France
A French branch of the British airline company Avient Aviation Limited, Avient France installed in Vatry International Airport in 2003 . It ensures transport by DC 10 of general cargo freight with nine daily turnrounds. Five employees work on the site, plus 24 pilots and 6 operational mechanics upon request. They deal with the preparation of documents, the preparation of freight according to destinations, the organisation of goods dispatching, crew management, troubleshooting and maintenance of planes. Danzas, Alcatel, Panalpina, SDV, Air Gabon... are their clients, together with private people for small loads. With a main destination: the African continent.
For Patrick Archambeau, the head of the Marne site, Vatry International Airport presents several assets. « The road network is quite nearby. The airport is in its starting stage, which has the advantage not to impose constraints like Roissy or Orly airports. Lorries are unloaded at once instead of taking several hours like in Roissy for example. An important asset in terms of hygiene for perishable goods. Moreover, the airport has a performing equipment , especially 3 5000 m² of cold stores. »
